I noticed Grub4Dos hasn't had a new build since the end of March.

Is the project still alive? Has it reached the end of it's development and the final build is effectivly the 1.0?

I ask because I am about to deploy hard drives powered by Grub4Dos to a whole university help desk, about 30 drives to be used across a major metropolitan university.

Just want to see if they will continue to address new issues and continue to develop ISO booting.

Something like "A grub4dos a day will take the Doctor away" ? w00t.gif

More seriously, I don't see the point. dubbio.gif

I mean, let's assume two opposite hypothesys:
  1. grub4dos does today everything you need "as is"
  2. grub4dos does NOT do today everything you need

If 1. is true, you DO NOT NEED any evolution of grub4dos.
If 2. is true, you DO NEED some evolution of grub4dos, BUT you CANNOT use/install it today.

Thus in BOTH cases, the future evolution of grub4dos (or the hypothetical lack of it) is irrelevant on the decision to install it today, so, JUST DO IT! happy22.gif

QUOTE (Lorezo de' Medici Trionfo o Canzone di Bacco )
[Italian]
Quant' ่ bella giovinezza
che si fugge tuttavia
chi vuol esser lieto sia
del doman non v' ่ certezza
[/Italian]

and a couple of English translations:
QUOTE
Youth is sweet and well
But doth speed away!
Let who will be gay,
To-morrow, none can tell.

QUOTE
The time of youth is full of beauty
But like all time it quickly flies.
Let him who would be happy be so;
Tomorrow's sun may never rise.
