Hi folks smile.gif
I've tried using the search, but i had no results... I have to read a HFS+ (mac osx) partition with livexp or vistape, i just need to copy a file from it into my NTFS partition or a usb key.
Any idea or program?

Several windows tools can do that I remember. Did it long time ago.

I even made some bartpe plugins for, but the app will most likely also run on vistape too (was it MacDrive or something like that??).

Even low level readers supporting the fs, will do, if you only need to copy from the HFS+ partition.

Well, MACDrive is not that much a solution for copying a single file, since it retails for a mere

I guess that you can try the trial, but then making it work on a PE might be more work than getting the whole damn thing to someone with a MAC and backing up the file:

I would rather try HFS explorer:

I will not argue about this, but the hfs explorer depends on java..

And about the MacDrive, that was not the real one I had in mind, although I worked a little with that one too.

The one I had in mind was TransMac. It's a 15 day unrestricted trial downloadable from http://www.acutesystems.com/tmsetup.exe

[not modified]
For PE-mode it works great.
[/not modified]

Plus it support read-write! And supports up to server 2008!

Just extract/unpack the installer and get the main executable, TransMac.exe.

That is the only file you need in your pe-build. It is 937 Kb.

Neither will I smile.gif, the TransMac appears to be the "right" solution for the one-time-usage giannz declared, BTW, check which is the first app in the posted list:

BUT it is morally highly debatable, and I do intend arguing (a bit) about it ranting2.gif , this "philosophy" of yours:
QUOTE (joakim @ Jul 30 2009, 07:06 PM) *
For PE-mode usage that means nonrestricted and never expiring.

The "right" approach is to provide FREE (as in BOTH freedom and "free beer") solutions, NOT abusing of the "kindness" of a developer that wants/needs to sell his work.

You should be blush.gif (besides being whip.gif) for suggesting these kind of ideas. thumbdown.gif

Should I? dubbio.gif

At least not until we've been "recorded" by http://www.archive.org ....happy22.gif

What do you think I will be able to accuse you with when, in several years, we will be both (most probably I will be faster in this wink.gif) old and forgetful? unsure.gif

No, I didn't.

It has "not" been modified, meanwhile crossing my fingers and hoping you're already getting slow.

You are now appreciating the reason why I do like quoting other people happy22.gif, they cannot edit the quote I make inside a post of mine, while I am free to fake it anyway ....

...however, and just in case, to be on the safe side, I also have a screenshot of the thread before you did "not" modify it, and several witnesses, that right now are signing the affidavit.... cool.gif
